Terms of Service & Policies
All new and existing customers must agree to following terms and conditions prior to and during their lessons at Little Swimming Co.
Little Swimming Co. reserve the right to make changes to the terms and conditions. New terms and conditions will be posted on our website and will take affect from the said date. Previous versions of our terms and conditions will be available on request.

Lessons and Fees
Lesson interest can be expressed using the Registration and Waiting List.. We operate a waiting list throughout the year for most services. We will endeavour to accommodate your chosen time and date however we may have to offer an alternative time and date if there is no availability.
A half an hour 1-2-1 lesson at Little Swimming Co. will cost £25.00 per customer.
All customers are required to have Direct Debits set up for the commencement of lessons. If a Direct Debit is not set up Little Swimming Co. reserve the right to reallocate the lesson.
Direct Debits are to be set up via the following link http://www.littleswimmingco.co.uk/direct-debit-sign-up. Please allow at least 7 days for the Direct Debit to activate. If the Direct Debit is not activated in due time for the collection date, a one off cash or card payment may be requested.
Cancellations and Refund Policy
Lessons with Little Swimming Co. may be ceased by giving 14 Days written notice.
Lessons paid for within the 14 day notice period will not be refunded to customers.
Lessons cancelled within 14 days of the start of each month are subject to a £10.00 Administration Fee.
On any occasion the pool cannot provide you with your swimming lesson our variable Direct Debit will ensure the customer is not paying for lessons which cannot be undertaken by Little Swimming Co. Examples of this include, instructor cancellation, instructor holidays, or during our Christmas Closure.
Little Swimming Co. will endeavour to provide the same swimming teacher for each customer. In the event of management illness, annual leave or any other unavailability, Little Swimming Co. will provide a replacement instructor. A refund will not be offered if an alternative instructor is offered and declined by the customer. In the event an alternative teacher cannot be found then a refund will be offered.

At Little Swimming Co., we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for all children, parents, and staff.
All participants are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all.
2. Code of Conduct
For Children
All swimmers must:

Listen to and follow instructions from teachers at all times

Treat other swimmers, staff, and facilities with respect

Refrain from disruptive, unsafe, or aggressive behaviour

Follow all poolside safety rules

For Parents/Guardians
Parents/guardians must:
-
Treat staff, other parents, and children with respect at all times
-
Ensure children arrive on time and are ready for lessons

Remain responsible for children before and after lessons
-
Follow all venue rules, including those relating to changing areas
Parents must not:
-
Enter the pool or poolside unless invited by staff
-
Distract instructors during lessons
-
Use abusive, threatening, or inappropriate language
Behaviour Management
Where behaviour falls below expected standards, the following steps may be taken:

Verbal warning
-
Removal from the session
-
Temporary suspension
-
Permanent exclusion
3. Safeguarding & Welfare
We take safeguarding seriously and operate in line with recognised safeguarding standards.

All staff are appropriately trained

Concerns will be handled confidentially and appropriately
-
No photography or filming is permitted without prior consent
-
Mobile phone use is prohibited in changing areas

4. Health & Medical Information
Parents/guardians must:

Provide accurate and complete medical information at the time of booking

Inform us of any changes to medical conditions
-
Disclose behavioural or additional support needs
Children must not attend lessons if they:
-
Have had sickness or diarrhoea within the last 48 hours
-
Have a contagious illness, infection, or open wounds
-
Are otherwise unfit to safely participate
Failure to disclose relevant information may result in removal from lessons without refund.
5. Risk Acknowledgement
Swimming is an inherently risky activity.
By enrolling in lessons, you acknowledge and accept the risks involved, including but not limited to:

Slips, trips, and falls on wet surfaces

Water-related incidents, including risk of drowning
-
Physical injury during participation
-
Contact with other swimmers or equipment
Parents/guardians confirm that their child is physically able to participate safely.
6. Poolside & Safety Rules
For the safety of all participants:

No running on poolside
-
No pushing, diving, or unsafe behaviour unless instructed
-
All instructions from staff must be followed immediately
-
Appropriate swimwear must be worn
-
Babies and toddlers must wear approved double swim nappies
Failure to follow safety rules may result in immediate removal from the session.
7. Supervision & Responsibility

Children remain the responsibility of parents/guardians until handed over to the instructor
-
After lessons, responsibility returns to the parent/guardian immediately
-
Little Swimming Co. is not responsible for children outside lesson time
8. Attendance & Punctuality
-
Participants should arrive in good timing for their lessons
-
Late arrivals may be refused entry if it disrupts safety or lesson structure
-
Missed lessons are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
9. Payments & Bookings
-
All lessons must be paid for regardless of attendance due to illness/absence or holiday
-
Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment
-
Fees are non-refundable unless explicitly agreed
10. Cancellations & Changes

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons where necessary

In such cases, a replacement lesson or credit will be offered where possible
-
We are not liable for additional costs incurred

Missed Lessons, Cancellations & Make-Up Policy

Missed Lessons

Lessons missed by participants for any reason (including illness, holidays, or other commitments) are non-refundable and non-transferable

We are unable to offer make-up lessons or credits for missed sessions

Illness
-
If a child is unwell, we strongly advise that they do not attend (see Health Policy)

Missed lessons due to illness are still non-refundable
11. Personal Belongings

Personal belongings are brought to the venue at your own risk

Little Swimming Co. accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Little Swimming Co. shall not be liable for:

Any injury resulting from failure to follow instructions
-
Any injury arising from undisclosed medical conditions
-
Loss or damage to personal property
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by negligence
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
13. Agreement
By booking and attending lessons, you confirm that you:

Have read and understood this Code of Conduct and Terms of Service

Agree to abide by all policies and procedures
-
Accept the risks associated with participation
Teachers and Employees
All Little Swimming Co. teachers hold a teaching qualification from either the Swimming Teacher’s Association (STA L2 ) or the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA L1 or 2) or a recognised alternative. In addition, all Little Swimming Co. teachers undergo full in-house training to ensure they meet our rigorous teaching standards. Teachers are subject to safeguarding training and DBS status.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
